This by its description is quite obviously complete replacement with new stone, which can be either newly quarried stone or salvaged stone such as a)Indenting, b) Plastic repairs, c) Chemical treatments, d) Re-dressing, e)Stone cleaning to Mortar restorations where our skilled tradesmen treat the damaged mortar with a process that begins with first removing every trace of cracked, flaking, falling and decaying mortar from the gaps between the brickwork. The remaining mortar and surrounding structure must then be carefully cleaned, after which new mortar can be pressed into place and left to cure.
Mekel Masonery comprises of a team of qualified stonemasons in this discipline and we repair and restore stonework on a variety of buildings to contract. We work on listed buildings as well as new builds and buildings of historic value in Edinburgh and the Central Belt of Scotland.
